If you install it over IDT drivers from hp you probably don't get good results. I must mention that you should install this driver over windows generic sound driver to get good results.

The first two of them didn't resolve my issue but the last one which is "Tempo driver update for IDT High definition codec" made inĀ with size of 13.1 MB did the job. I downloaded all three drivers and tested them.

All of them are IDT sound driver versionĀ .0 and they are made in 2015. A list came up and I saw that there are three tempo IDT sound driver that are compatible with windows 10. Today I found that there are some sound drivers in microsoft catalog site, so I went there and searched for High definition audio codec. Finally I resolved the issue partially and I'm going to explain what I did. I have come back to tell you some good news. If you remember I was having problem with IDT driver after upgrading to windows 10 and further updates. I can give any additional information if it is needed and I am hear to help. So what is the problem? Am I able to use this option of windows 10 anniversary or no? If yes so how? I need this option because I use headphones alot and I don't want to plug them every time. In addition I have tried the generic driver of sound from microsoft which is named "High definition audio codec" and It only shows one device as speaker and It does not detect any headphone or communication device. My sound driver is IDT high definition codec. I have updated the sound driver but nothing has improved. It is forced to be as the communication device only. Also I have tried it from playback devices but again I can not set the headphones as default playback device. It shows two devices but when I select one of them the speakers are selected. if the headphone is unplugged then the sound comes from speakers and when they are plugged the sound comes from headphones and I can not select speakers. As you know in windows 10 anniversary update you can switch between sound outputs when the headphone is plugged right from the sound icon in the taskbar, but it doesn't work as it should be.
